The research method employed is a literature review, involving an analysis of five relevant scholarly articles focusing on GDL implementation in learning environments. The results demonstrate that the GDL approach effectively enhances students’ ability to think critically—particularly in evaluating problems, analyzing data, and drawing reasoned conclusions. Furthermore, students involved in GDL-based instruction tend to be more engaged, capable of constructing hypotheses, and able to carry out simple investigative tasks. These improvements contribute not only to better academic results but also to the growth of reflective and analytical thinking, which are essential competencies in today’s digital era. Based on the findings, the GDL model is highly recommended as a teaching strategy that supports the advancement of students' critical thinking abilities within the school setting.
Lara Eliza Firma, Ganda Hijrah Selaras Copyright (c) 2025 Lara Eliza Firma, Ganda Hijrah Selaras https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.yp3a.org/index.php/diajar/article/view/3012 Wed, 15 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Internalisasi Nilai-Nilai Religius untuk Membentuk Akhlak Siswa di MTS Islahiyah Kalitidu Bojonegoro https://journal.yp3a.org/index.php/diajar/article/view/4486
Globalization is indicated by the development of science and technology (IPTEK) which is increasingly advanced and rapid. A qualitative approach was adopted, with a literature review serving as the primary research method. Power relations in educational institutions are inherently shaped by the hierarchical structure of school organizations, where principals hold decision-making authority while teachers act as policy implementers. Drawing on key sociological theories of education, such as Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of social reproduction and Michel Foucault’s concept of power relations, the study reveals that performance-based education policies tend to reinforce unequal power structures. Teachers are frequently positioned as passive recipients of top-down policies, with little involvement in the decision-making process. This lack of participation has significant implications, particularly in diminishing teachers’ professional autonomy in classroom practices. Consequently, the study recommends adopting more democratic and participatory policy-making approaches in schools to promote more balanced and equitable working relationships between principals and teachers. Such an approach is expected to improve not only school governance but also the overall effectiveness of educational outcomes.
Muhammad Farras Abiyyu, Isa Anshori Copyright (c) 2025 Muhammad Farras Abiyyu, Isa Anshori https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journal.yp3a.org/index.php/diajar/article/view/5233 Wed, 15 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Strategi Pemasaran Online dalam Membentuk Branding Sekolah TK Islam Kencana https://journal.yp3a.org/index.php/diajar/article/view/5398
Building a positive perception of educational institutions requires an effective online marketing strategy to maintain its presence among competitors, establish a school brand, and reach a target market aligned with the school's vision and mission. The research focuses on how teacher strategies, classroom interactions, and students’ emotional conditions contribute to their involvement in the learning process. A descriptive qualitative method was applied, using non-participant observation with multiple observers, supported by interviews with the subject teacher. The findings of this study indicate that students’ level of engagement varied across different indicators. Teacher–student interaction and activity variation received the highest scores, with 83.3% categorized as very good, whereas the teacher’s activeness in moving around the classroom obtained the lowest score, at 33.3% (low category). Several factors were identified as supporting engagement, including active teacher–student interaction, the use of diverse instructional media, the implementation of kinesthetic activities, the provision of verbal praise, as well as the incorporation of ice breaking activities, games, and songs that enhanced students’ enthusiasm. On the other hand, the main challenges observed were uneven learning motivation among students, limited instructional time in large classes, and the insufficient habituation of using English outside the classroom.. These findings highlight that young learners’ engagement in foreign language learning is shaped by a combination of pedagogical, emotional, and environmental factors.
