Interaction as the core of communication now largely takes place in digital spaces, where fans are no longer passive consumers but active agents who produce, circulate, and negotiate content about their idols as a form of participatory culture. This positions fans as both loyal supporters and critical watchdogs of how agencies manage their idols careers. This is evident in TEUME, the TREASURE fan community, which frequently highlights promotional inequality under YG Entertainment. Unlike prior fan activism studies, which generally frame critical participation as a response to external threats, this study finds that TEUME Indonesia critical participation is instead triggered by the agency own perceived unfair treatment of the idols. This study analyzes TEUME Indonesia interaction dynamics in digital spaces while responding to TREASURE momentums from January to June 2026, identifying forms of support, criticism, and tension that emerge. The study uses a qualitative approach with digital ethnography, involving nonparticipant observation on X, Instagram, Threads, and TikTok, along with interviews with four purposively selected informants. Results show that TEUME Indonesia interaction patterns are dynamic, shifting with each momentum TREASURE faces, without contestation among fandom members. Support is consistently directed toward the idols on personal issues, while criticism and collective action target the agency on structural issues such as promotion and world tour demands. Tension is directed mostly at parties outside the community, confirming that support and criticism converge within the same fans as a fluid, evolving form of participatory culture.
