ARCHIVING POLICY

This policy explains how Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis keeps its published issues and article records in the archive that the journal manages itself. The archive of the journal is different from the self archiving that authors may do, and from independent long term digital preservation by an outside service. These two matters are covered in Sections 5 and 6.

Where is it kept? On the journal platform, which is Open Journal Systems (OJS).

Whom should I contact about a missing file? The editorial office, at jurnal.manabis@gmail.com.

1. Archive Content

The public archive of the journal should contain the following items. It can be reached through the journal archive.

Public archive
Item Contents
Issues All issues, listed by volume and number, with the articles of each issue, from the first issue to the latest.
Full text files The published article files, such as PDF files.
Article metadata The title, the authors and their affiliations, the abstract, the keywords, the references, the dates, and the DOI where one has been assigned.
Supplementary materials Files that are published with an article, such as questionnaires, datasets, or appendices.
Editorial notices Correction notices, expressions of concern, and retraction notices, following the Correction and Retraction policy.

Not part of the public archive

Unpublished submissions, reviewer reports and the identities of reviewers, correspondence with authors and reviewers, and the administrative records of the editorial office are confidential. The journal may keep them privately for as long as they are needed for editorial and integrity purposes, following the Allegations of Misconduct policy.

2. Access to the Archive

  • All archived issues are free to read, following the Open Access Policy.
  • The reuse of archived articles follows CC BY 4.0, as described on the Licensing page.

3. Maintenance and Recovery

  • The publisher, Yayasan Pendidikan Penelitian Pengabdian Algero, maintains the archive.
  • The publisher checks for missing or damaged files, and keeps recoverable copies of the publication files and the metadata under its operational arrangements.
  • Recovery procedures should be tested from time to time.

Backups are not preservation. Backups serve the recovery of content after a technical failure. By themselves they do not guarantee independent preservation, or the continued public availability of the content if the publisher stops operating.

4. Record Integrity

  • The maintenance of the archive must keep the link between each article and any correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice about it, so that readers can see the current status of the article.
  • Changes to published content are governed by the Correction and Retraction policy.
  • During a server move, a platform upgrade, or a change of web address, the identifiers, the links, and the publication history must remain intact.
  • A DOI that has been assigned does not change. The journal updates the target address of the DOI when this is necessary.

5. Independent Preservation and Continuity

Status of the arrangements
Arrangement Status
Online issue archive Operating. Past issues and articles can be read on the website.
Electronic backup Operating. Copies of the publication files and the system records are kept for recovery.
Independent long term digital preservation Not yet verified.
Self archiving by authors Permitted (see Section 6).
  • The journal does not currently state that an independent preservation service holds its content, because participation in such a service and the actual deposit of content have not been verified.
  • The availability of the website, the permission for authors to deposit work in repositories, and the assignment of DOIs do not by themselves confirm long term preservation.
  • The aim of the journal is to arrange independent preservation for the article files, the metadata, the supplementary materials, and the correction and retraction notices, and to arrange continued access if the journal or the publisher stops operating.
  • A preservation service will be named on this page and on the Electronic Filing page only after its participation and the deposit of content have been verified. Planned arrangements will be kept separate from arrangements that are already working.

6. Self Archiving by Authors

  • Authors may make separate, nonexclusive arrangements for the distribution of the published version, for example in an institutional repository or in a book, provided that the first publication in MANABIS is acknowledged.
  • Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online before and during submission.
  • These rights are described in the Copyright Notice and in the Open Access Policy.
  • A copy that an author deposits in a repository does not replace the archive of the journal.

7. Archive Assistance

Readers, authors, and indexing services can report a missing file, a damaged file, a broken link, or an inconsistency in the archive to the editorial office.
